Happy Holidays to All

Happy holidays to everyone. Life is good. Gary got a whole box of organic satsumas from California for Christmas and he and I are preparing to overdose on their goodness. We ordered them from our local organic grocery supplier for $30, money well spent. Satsuma are seedless, easy to peel, and very sweet.

Thanks to all my readers and pottery supporters, hope you have a happy and safe holiday season. I am slowly adding pottery to my Etsy shop. The kiln is cooling; I have a few experiments with volcanic ash and glass in there. I'll have a Christmas eve kiln opening, so stay tuned. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

  6. Oh those look delicious and juicy. We've already gone through an entire box of clementines, and ready to buy another box. We were gifted with a box of Rio Grande Valley grapefruits yesterday so I guess we'll be eating those first. Wishing you and Gary a wonderful Christmas

  7. Hi Tracey, thanks, Gary is partial to the Satsumas which have no seeds, easier to peel, and are more flavorful than clementines according to him. We couldn't believe we could get these from California, we tried some local satsumas from right near here which weren't that good.

Hi Judy, thanks, same to you and your family.

Hi Cindy, thanks, yes maybe it's a craving for vitamin C which makes us love the citrus in winter.

Hi Meredith, thanks, same to you and Mark.

Hi Marguerite, thanks, we couldn't believe we got these, we couldn't find them when we lived in California as they ship almost all of them to Japan.

Hi Barbara, thanks, these are really delicious, we put them outside to keep them cool, it's a really big box, may have to give some to the neighbors. I love those grapefruits, one year we traveled in Texas this time of year and got some of those, they are delicious.

  9. Happy Christmas to you and to Gary. Good luck for your Christmas eve kiln opening. My closest to Christmas opening that I did was a few years ago, and I fired a woodfired earthenware firing Christmas eve, and unpacked it at 3.30 am Christmas morning...., just in time for mum and dad's Christmas present!
