Hawaii Bound

Hawaii bound; dreaming any way. I won this crocheted turquoise lei or hatband from Leslie in her blog giveaway. Thanks Leslie. I love it, and it's my favorite color. I left the lei on the kitchen counter and came by later to catch Gary trying on the lei. He turned and said "Let's move to Hawaii and get a condo on the beach".

I'll be posting about my 'paying it forward' giveaway very soon. Sorry about the quality of the photo above; but I'm so frustrated with my slow computer, I don't dare take another photo and try to upload it. My computer is slower than dial up. Supposedly the tech guys are working on the tower. But does this sound logical? It's Verizon wireless mifi and they're saying construction on the ground can interfere with the signal? Sounds crazy to me. Meanwhile a glaze load is firing; I've more loads to go; and I'm working on a series. Stay tuned for that giveaway real soon.

  3. Hi Meredith, thanks, years ago I had my colors done and turquoise or aqua and purple were good for me, coral too.

Hi Turquoisemoon, thanks, I love the mountains too, too bad I can't have them all in one location.

Hi Tracey, thanks, I guess we could move to Hawaii with the bus, they could put it on a container ship, one never knows with us, keep reading, things could change at a moments notice. Ha.

  4. very pretty... and i bet it looked good on gary too ;-)
did you ever consider getting a wireless router for when you are home? that way you wouldn't have to worry about data usage on your laptop. they are fairly inexpensive and the speed is great.

  5. Hi Michele, thanks, yes we were going to get one, but the laptop was working ok and we didn't want to spend the money for one. I have a two year contrace with Verizon and have 6 months to go otherwise I'd cancel them, but then if we decide to sell our house we need mifi to travel with, some decisions will be made shortly. I did get them to give me a credit for several months worth back in Nov, Dec and Jan when they had trouble, now it seems it's back again, perhaps I can talk them into another credit. I just wonder what the real story is with their mifi system here.

  7. Oops, fooled me, I thought you were heading for the surf and sun.
I can relate to poor ISP service. Our tiny town server is up grading this month--or so they say. I wish us both good luck.

  8. For a moment I was very envious.
Have you looked into Virgin Mobile for mifi? To me it seems like a better plan than Verizon, especially no contract.

  9. HA! I thought you'd won a trip!! The scarf is great too!! ooo you don't want to move to Hawaii... you think it's expensive where you are now -ha! Hawaii is crazy expensive and besides the treasure bus couldn't make the crossing without some MAJOR modifications!

  10. Hi Yolanda, thanks, it was only a Hawaii dream, and only a dream trip not a move.

Hi Patti, thanks, no money in the coffers to do much at all with food and fuel as they are. I think Verizon is jerking me around.

Hi Lori, thanks, I am just about ready to do a switch, I will see what the tech in the field supposedly check the tower says. Ha.

Hi Cindy, thanks, Gary would like to move there, but I know an island is much to expensive especially the way things are going in this country and world wide, probably moving to a trailer very soon.
