Another Flower Cart

Here's another flower cart; I'm working on a few others. I think I'll add fabric or tin roofs after these are fired.

I have more flowers in the works and I am loading a bisque load.

We saw a tortoise fight in our side yard. We could hear the shells clinking into one another. One tortoise ran like the dickens and the other one chased him a bit and then stopped. In other news, I sold my big SUV and am looking for a used smaller one with better mpg. This is a repost of a previous post since blogger was down and lost the previous post. More later.

  1. Got to admit, I am struggling with the image of a turtle running like the dickens.
That had to be quite a sight.
    Really like your new cart.

  2. Hi Patti, thanks, you wouldn't believe it they can actually run like crazy when they want to, we were both surprised. I am sure you know the story of the tortoise and the hare, it must be based on fact, ha.

  3. i feel your pain about giving up the big SUV. mine wasn't as big as yours (it was a trailblazer) but after i was rear-ended 3 years ago and it was totalled, i knew that i should get something better on gas and that was affordable. i settled on a chevy equinox. it's a little better on gas, i am doing ok with the size. even though it is still a chevy it isn't as quality built as my trailblazer.
...those tortoises are so cool! i would love to see those out in the yard. how big are they?

  4. Glad to see that you survived the Blogger fiasco! Love the flower cart, great details! And the turtles are so cute. I'm shopping for a small SUV, too and I think that I'm going to go with a foreign model, also, for the same reason. Cheers!

  6. I know others commented here on the previous post, but blogger lost those comments, sorry, there is no way of retrieving them.

Hi Marguerite, thanks, I'm looking at the Hyundai Santa Fe. The Ford Escape is a contender, but it rides rougher and is noisier inside.

Hi Meredith, thanks, I read the males fight over territory and I think these were two males, but not sure, they have to be turned over to see if the bottom shell is concave to tell and I don't want to scare them.
