Alligator

Here's the latest Florida creature, an alligator. Maybe I'll put a few more lumps and crevices in the skin. He looks like he's smiling. Now that I look at the photo I took of an alligator last year, he looks like he's smiling too.

Fish and birds will be coming up next. Hope you're having a good weekend.

  1. Who doesn't love a smiling alligator? Or texture for that matter? Go ahead and add the lumps and bumps.

  2. He does have a nice smile and unlike the real thing's smile, the eyes aren't nasty looking.
You have the much better looling gator. Those would probably sell like hot cakes in Gainsville.

  4. Hi Lori, thanks, yeah better to have a smiling alligator than one jumping up and biting Ha.

Hi Patti, thanks, I hope lots of these sell like hot cakes.

Hi Patricia, thanks, I think their smiles belie the fact they are digesting the meal they just had. Ha.

Hi Tracey, thanks, Florida really does have lots of inspiration all around me, it is truly beautiful here and much more diverse than I ever imagined, more than just beaches.

  6. I'm terrified of gators - think they're great on pottery or purses!

  8. Oh I've never seen real alligators. WOW! Yours looks so majestic! How long is it? I've heard that there were big crocodiles(not alligators perhaps) in our country and some scholars are thinking of them to be the origin of dragons!!

Your purple wall sculpture is very beautiful! I love it.

  9. Hi Judy, thanks, thinking about how to hang them now.

Hi Kitty, thanks, I think being terrified of them is a good thing.

Hi Marguerite, thanks, yeah, that one is in an animal park and he is apparently really mean so they have to keep him separate from the others.

Hi Sapphire, thanks, I think alligators are only here and in China, the others are crocodiles, this alligator was about 12 feet long and very old, he is in an animal park near us, but there are others we see swimming around wild. Thanks about the purple wall sculpture, so glad you like it.
