A Day Off

Ah, to be a pelican floating on the water. This photo looks so relaxing. These pelicans above are floating off the deck at the fish market we go to in Homosassa. Me, myself, and I are taking a day off. Loading and unloading the kiln twice, glazing, firing twice, installing at the gallery, packing, setting up, selling, and taking down at the farmer's market, (actually Gary did most of the heavy parts), then back to festivities in Floral City all in the same week, wore me out. But sales were brisk at the farmer's market and gallery. Below are photos of the front of the market and their fishing boat.

I took a couple of photos at the farmer's market so come back for those. Thanks to all those who came out to the gallery and farmer's market this weekend, thanks to Gary for helping so much, and thanks to you for reading and for all your comments.

  3. It's good to hear you were able to make a nice profit this week. You deserve it with all that hard work.

That fish market looks so good! I really would like to have one but in the middle of Oklahoma it sure is never going to happen. This week is in the 40's and grey for us. Yuck!

  6. Hi Meredith, thanks, we're thinking we wished we lived on the water, hurricaine danger and all. Maybe just shack we can leave quickly if need be.

Hi Rubye Jack, thank, yes Oklahome has it's benefits too; I remember traveling there and going to the a park with buffalo and just loving all the rolling hills and oak savannahs I think this country has so much to offer visitors, travelers, and those staying put as well.

Hi Out on the prairie, thanks, isn't it amazing how they are all in unison in their actions, what a great group to watch they are.

Hi Mary, thanks, yes lots of free time and most times I'm not taking advantage of that, need to more. Always seem to think I must keep busy and it shouldn't necessarily be so all the time.

  7. Even potters get a day off once in a while! Don't let puritan or whatever ethnic guilt you admit to stand in the way of enjoyment!
