Another Pedestal Bowl

Here's another pedestal bowl with a free form shaped pedestal similar to the previous one but slightly different. For this bowl I didn't add handles. The form is more oblong and not as undulating.

Below is a shot looking down on the pedestal bowl. I asked Gary to take this photo, him practically cursing at me that I'm crazy and should be in bed instead of taking a photo of my clay piece. For me making art is both a blessing and a curse.

Right after I made the bowl I wasn't well so I put it in the cabinet and didn't attend to it at all. The edges were never cleaned up and the bottom of my form shows a little too much. Normally I would have removed the bowl from the hump mold much sooner. Once it dries I can sand the rough edges and smooth the lines left by my hump form with one of those green scrubbies. Of course I have many more pedestal shapes in mind and hope to get to some of them this week. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

Feeling much better today, thank goodness, I've been given a few more days to work in clay I guess.
