Telescoping Folding Hand Truck

Here's the hand truck I use to transport my pottery in bins to and from from galleries and shows. This cart is a lifesaver on the back. It's also light weight and versatile.

Lori Buff of Future Relics Pottery was recently researching hand trucks and I said I'd post the one I use.

This cart will easily hold 750 pounds. I used it when I was a professional photographer to transport photographic gear for still shoots.

This hand truck folds up compact for storage.

The cart also opens up nicely to haul whatever you might need to transport. The straps hook to the top handle to keep boxes from going astray.

It's well balanced and, when tilted, it glides along quite nicely. It's light weight but also very strong.

It's made in the USA by Remin in Juliet, Illinois and their phone number is 1-800-423-9328. It's called a Kart-a-Bag. I have no idea if they are still in business. I hope they are; this is a really great piece of equipment to use. Suzi just said they are in business so I have linked to their website, should have checked before posting this but was tied up with other things. This post is part of the weekly Mud Colony what's happening in the studio. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Hi Linda....just out of curiosity I googled Kart-a-bag. They are alive and well at Definitely worth looking at.

Love the cedar waxwing and bunny. We get them in the fall when the cedars have their berries.....birds no bunnies.....we have them year round. I use cheap ground red pepper or chili powder sprinkled on my plants to keep the animals away.

  2. Hi Suzi, thanks, I should have checked out the company but I was tied up with other stuff. I'll try the pepper, did you see the post below that I finally posted about the versatile blogger award you gave me, sorry it took so long. I think the cedar waxwing was so beautiful and it was fun to finally see one in person.

  3. that's a great little cart... we really should look into something lightweight.
Jeff sprinkles red pepper on plants to keep bugs away. We don't seem to have a bunny problem here, or deer. Wouldn't you think we would see deer with a farm next door and a field across the street?

  4. I'm baaaaaack! I did see your Versatile Blogger post. ( I got tied up in a bunch of mundane stuff and fell behind with the blog world.) I have friends who cannot go into fast food places due to having worked there.

I still have not figured out how to download the Versatile Blogger button...my computer skills are strictly learn as you go.

  5. Hi Michele, thanks, perhaps because you are on busy street the deer stay away, it only take on visit for them to discover what you have though.

someone on facebook just told me that there are cheaper imitations of this cart that have broken at shows, I never had a problem with this one but there is a locking mechanism that must be in place before it is tilted back.

  7. That company should give you an award for the plug!

(I mentioned you on my blog "One True Thing". I decided some time ago not to accept awards. For one thing, I am not that great at blogging and they somehow seem like a burden to live up to. Thank you so much for considering me!)
