Dew Drops

I took a walk early in the morning the other day and there were lots of dew drops on all the plants. We have quite a few of the white mushrooms popping up all over the place. I love their bumpy surface. I'm wondering if I could get a surface like that with clay. Just finished loading the kiln for another glaze load. Seemed like it took me forever to glaze everything, last night and this morning. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. I remember back in the 70's when mushroom figurines were all the rage. Maybe you can restart the craze!

  2. Doesn't a salt glaze have bumps similar to that white mushroom? I have a pot that has that glaze and it seems so.... Just an idea.

Are any of these edible, to your knowledge? One has to be so careful, as you know, of course.

  3. Hi Ms. Sparrow, thanks, I was thinking the same thing when I looked at that large mushroom. I may just have to make a couple, why not. Ha.

Hi Teresa, thanks, I have no idea about these mushrooms being edible or not, they are just beauties to look at, garden delicacies for the eye.

Hi Mary, thanks, yes so much inspiration for just about anything every where around us.

  4. Oh Teresa, thanks, I don't know about salt glaze, but I know there are some crawl glazes which make surfaces that are interesting.
