Squirreling Around Today

Took this photo through the kitchen window of a squirrel hanging upside down on the pool cage. He's eating the seeds of a pine cone.

Think I'll do a little squirreling around today myself. Hope you're having a good one. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  3. Hi Meredith, thanks, my cats were going crazy looking at him hanging there. He can't see us cause we have reflective window film so we have a great time looking at all the critters close up.

Hi Elaine, thanks, isn't he cute, he doesn't know we can see him, his little hands and arms look almost childlike.

  4. We had a Yorkie once who sat at the base of the oak barking at the squirrels who threw acorns down on him.

  5. Hi Joanne, thanks, those squirrels really squawk if I go outside, they are brave little fellows and it seems they are territorial too. Throwing acorns on the Yorkie, they are smarter than we realize I guess.

  6. I've got a little squirrel visitor that comes to my garden at the moment and he keeps coming to eat my roses. So to relieve some frustrations I painted him in watercolour...:-) Take care. Laura x

  7. Hi Laura, thanks, what a nice way to get rid of your frustrations. I'll stop on over and hope to see him, and I didn't know they ate roses, but then again there is rose hips tea and rose water so I guess it must be a delicacy.

  11. Love that picture. Most people don't like squirrels but I love to watch them. They are the smart athletes of the animal world.

  12. Love the squirrel moment! We don't have squirrels here - but we do have possums - big bushy tailed ones. I love them (not pests here).
