Keep Cool

When we'd visit my grandmother when I was a kid I always thought it strange she would carry a fan outside and run it at the table. Now I know why. Kids don't seem to mind the heat but adults do. This 02 Cool fan will run for 60 hours on batteries and it will plug in as well. I saw a woman with one at an outdoor art fair and thought it might be a good investment to keep cool on those hot summer days at markets or during a power outage. It tilts up or down and has two speeds.

I'm in the process of revising my Etsy store header. Also I wanted to change the name to Linda Starr instead of my gallery name. Etsy says my name is already taken but when I do a search no other shop comes up with my name. I've sent them an email about it in hopes I can use my name there. When I originally opened an etsy account, it said the same thing. I can change it to Linda Starr pottery, but I hoped to just use my name. We shall see. My periwinkle lavender dish was in this lovely treasury. I do love lavender. Hope you're keeping cool. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Oh my. That is the very fan my friend Linda brought out at the Broad Ripple art fair. One hundred in the shade in Indianapolis in June. It bought relief. Good luck on resolving the name issue.

  2. Hi Joanne, thanks, I think I read that if you have a fan on it makes you feel ten degrees cooler and in that kind of heat every little bit helps.

  3. That was a great fan on battery. Strange you can't change if your name is not occuped.

  4. Hi Elna, thanks, I hope they get back to me about my name, we shall see. On those hot days at the market this fan will come in handy.

  5. Good thing to know about...the cool fan. Hope you can change the etsy shop...though Blue Starr is pretty too!

  6. It is very true that adults suffer more from the heat than kids. Maybe it's simply because we have more body mass, or maybe our internal cooling system isn't as efficient.
In any case, this summer is killing me!

  8. Hi Barbara, thanks, yeah knock on wood the electricity doesn't go out but at fairs this is a real life saver.

Hi Ms. Sparrow, thanks, I know what you mean, it seems every year I am less tolerant.

Hi Michele, thanks, I would think in a humid climate the misting fan would make you hotter. We had them in California and they did make the air seem cooler. Use a filter on the mist tubing if you put them up so it doesn't clog.
