Not Easy but Clear and Breezy and Busy

Here's some Moorpark apricots I raised in California in an early bowl of mine from 2008; not sure where the bowl has gone. Hope folks out there are weathering Sandy well. The extremes of mother nature don't make it easy for many of us but we struggle along. Here it's clear and breezy with extremely low humidity and fire danger. We're due to get down to the mid 40s tonight.

Still working on more overlapped strip forms and been busy with a number of household projects this week. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. The good people of Florida are well aware of what the people in the north are now experiencing, you've seen it enough yourselves.
I like the waves of this form, it seems to have a certain life to it.

  2. Hello Linda:
The waves of strips in this particular form seem to us to be a perfect reminder of the dreadful effects of hurricane Sandy. Like you, our hearts go out to those who may be in distress.

  7. Hi Lori, thanks, off on strips tangent, seeing the photos of all the devastation I hope I never experience a hurricane up close.

Hi Jane and Lance, thanks, yes those waves are devastating for so many in the aftermath.

Hi Ms. Sparrow, thanks, yes the smooth curves are working for this piece.

Hi Meredith, thanks, the wind is actually howling here, strange since the hurricane is so far away now.

Hi Elephant's child, thanks, I'm like working with these curved strips and I hope the hurricane cleanup goes quickly for so many affected. No fires near me but the warnings are up just in case.

Hi Anna, thanks about the form, there is much damage in many states even inland with falling trees and flooding, we just don't need any disasters for a few years here in the US.
