Christmas in the Hills

Almost forgot to mention, tomorrow I'll be at the Lions Club Christmas in the Hills, parade, car show, and arts and crafts sale in Beverly Hills, Florida. Somehow the flyer got a bit crumpled. If you're in the area, please stop in and say hi. The Lions Club will be collecting donations for Toys For Tots, if you are able please bring along a gift for a child dreaming of Santa Claus.

All the pieces in the latest bisque turned out just fine. (thanks to my lucky stars). It didn't take me very long to glaze this time. Since most of the pieces were large there weren't many glazing decisions to make. I fired the glaze load over night, the kiln is cooling down, please stay tuned for results tomorrow. Meanwhile, remember when I fell on my hip, last night it started acting up again; I didn't get much sleep. I've really got to make it to these next couple of shows because I am so excited about my new work and love talking about my art with folks. Thankfully Gary helps me out.

This morning Gary saw a bald eagle flying in front of him at car level right in our neighborhood. The bald eagle had white feathers and some brown, so he was a juvenile. Gary needs to start taking his camera with him like I do. Just goes to show, you never know when you'll see a photo worth taking. The other day another tortoise was out of his den in the back yard. I took his photo through the pool cage screen. For perspective most of these tortoise are about 12 inches long. This post is part of Artists in Blogland show and tell Saturday. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  2. I am going to a couple of Christmas bazaars tomorrow with my friend Sue and then do a little back road wandering with my camera. It pays to have your camera at all times. That is how I am able to share what I find on my blog. I am sure you will do great at the show...I love meeting artists who talk about their art . It makes the piece even more special to the buyer. Make sure you have your camera :)

Hi Dee, thanks, Oh I hope I remember to take my camera. I just know you'll get a lot of good photos.

Hi Gayle, thanks, the hip is a bit better today, not sure what is happening with it, hope it doesn't foretell events for the future. Ugh it always seems to be something.
