Rustic Boat Shaped Serving Dish

There are lots of boats around here for inspiration. Today the idea popped in my head to make a rustic boat shaped serving dish. In my mind I envisioned the dish constructed with more of the strips of clay I've been using. We'll see how successful I am in translating this idea to the clay. I made a few drawings and I have a few pieces drying in the cabinet.

Did you remember today is a white rabbit day, the first day of the month of November. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Hello Linda:
It will be most interesting to see how these 'boat' dishes translate from the drawing board to the finished product. We do hope that we shall see in a future post.

  10. It is the second here - and more than half way though the day as well. Just the same I forgot to say white rabbit yesterday as well.
The boat shape should fit the layered strips really well. I am looking forward to further posts about it.
