Florida Heat: Surface Workshop

Florida Heat: Surface Workshop

February 19th - 23rd, 2014

Here's some Info on a surface workshop in Florida.
Join us in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida for a five-day ceramic surface design workshop. A powerhouse group of eight nationally known artists will cover many facets of design for functional pottery.  Whether you are a beginning potter, or a master craftsman, this workshop will inspire you to take a fresh look at the techniques and skills you use in your studio practice. This fun and casual learning environment will include demonstrations, lectures and time for one-on-one dialogue with the presenters.
Demonstrating artists are Ben Carter, Chandra DeBuse, Adam Field, Julie Galloway, Kristen Kieffer, Michael Kline, Forrest Middleton and Lisa Orr.

Check their website for more information and costs.  There are rates for full workshop, or day passes.

Won't be going to this one, although I could use some Florida heat since we're expecting another arctic vortex. Yikes. We are due to close on our home on Thursday so stay tuned for photos and details. Meanwhile we did a walk through and I measured the rooms. We've been browsing new and used furniture stores and arranging for utilities to be transferred. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  3. That would be a great workshop to attend. St. Pete Clay is such an awesome place as well.
Good luck with the move this week!

  4. Hi Lori, thanks, if I was down in Florida I'd be signed up for sure.

Hi Kittie, thanks, we are so happy we'll be able to spread out a little the motorhome has gotten quite cramped.

Hi Michele, thanks, yeah I am sorry I didn't have the opportunity at the time to take advantage of all St. Pete's had to offer when I was living down there.
