Lucky & Sculpture Sketches

When Gary returned the U Haul to Blairsville, he inadvertently left his cell phone on the seat of the truck. We didn't notice the phone was missing till the next evening. On the third day we drove as early as we could to the location and low and behold the cell phone was still on the seat of the truck. It's one of those pay as you go we use for emergencies and it had $100 loaded on the phone. We are lucky to have found it.

Just before I left Florida I had several commissions I referred to other ceramic artists because I knew I was moving shortly and couldn't get to them in a timely manner. Lately I've been busy sketching in my journal with several ideas for sculptures. The first is a tree woman inspired by the trees I saw growing out of the rocks at Anna Ruby Falls. Her fingers and hair are leaves and her body and arms are tree branches and truck. The second idea is a crow or raven protector with a waif under it's wing. I quickly sketch my ideas for future reference. They'll be much refined or possibly modified when made with clay.

By the end of next week we should be in our new home.  We're really looking forward to it. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
