Pottery Displays & Surfacing Ecourse

In my net travels I came across some unique pottery displays. This one doesn't look that hard to make but it probably is. Anything asymmetrical appeals to me. I found it on craigslist recently.

Here's a rustic plate display. Found on Pinterest.

A simple yet unique idea of boxes stacked on top of one another.

I wouldn't mind s turn-style but it would be extremely heavy to move I think.

Here's a great way to display plates.

Quick way to gain some height, a bench placed on a table top.

Crates on a table top. I saw these crates for sale at wally world recently, priced very inexpensively.

These curvy displays are made by Smart Fixtures.

All photos were taken from google search, craigslist, etc. Check out these other pottery display ideas on a previous post I did back in 2010.

I'll be a little scarce for the next several weeks since I'm taking on online pottery class with Diana Fayt, The Clayer Surfacing Ecourse. Thanks for reading and for all your ideas.

  1. great ideas for sales displays. Now I want a pic of your display! I would have added your pic to my post last week about lugging pots around if I could have found one! Enjoy your e-course...it sounds like a lot of information and fun!

  2. Those are some fun displays. We always have so much to think about with a pottery booth, like weight, transporting the display, setup time/ease, will the wind blow it over...but when it's right it's great.

  3. Hi Barb, I have to get a photo of my display, finally found my tent in the storage shed, now to wait for a sunny day to set it up, at the place here locally we have a cover so don't need to use it and we divide it in half, Gary on one side and me on the other. I'll try to remember to take my camera with me next time.

Hi Lori, thanks, we do have so much to think about wish I had a display where I just backed up and pulled it out of my car all set up. Ha.

Hi Michele, thanks, not sure right now is the best time with all we have going on but had wanted to take this the last time and thought I'd just go ahead this time.

  4. Great display shelves, I like them all. That little bench in the one photo, looks like the shoe storage shelves I bought at the thrift store. I am always buying more shelves to and display stuff on. I really love Diana Fayts style, I saw a rabbit plate of hers once, and thought, Oh I must tell Linda about her..then discovered of course that you already knew her. Can't wait to see what fun you have in her course. I am taking an online sketching and watercolor course right now, since I am hunkered down "inside" during the Texas heat.

  6. So many displays to choose from...I think weight and accessibility with out breakage by customers would be a big factor to choice. I do wish you well at your show. Enjoy your e-course...see you soon.

Hi Keith, thanks, festivals are a good place to find good hand made pottery.

Hi Charlene, thanks, I've always admired Diana's sense of design and I'm looking forward to learning more techniques.
