Misty Mountain Morning

Many mornings the valley below our home is filled with mist. Later when the sun comes up the mist drifts away.

Today I'm getting ready for the Kris Kringle Market on Friday and Saturday, packing and pricing my work. Wouldn't you know rain is predicted on Saturday. Something I didn't notice when I unloaded the kiln a couple of weeks ago is one hole on either side of this tower filled with glaze. Today I'll attempt to drill out the hole with a diamond bit so I can attach the driftwood handle. Wish me luck. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. I'm enjoying these foggy mornings. But don't think I would if I had to drive through it. Sorry about the rain. Know you'll get that glaze out! Good luck at the market!!! (Bet you sell out!)

  2. Hi Kitty, thanks, it's pretty to look at but definitely not fun to drive in. Once when I was a teenager in ventura, ca I couldn't even see the line on the freeway, I had to open my car door to look down at the ground, that was definitely foggy.

  3. Good luck on your sales...and the weather! Our mountains sure do live in the clouds sometimes, don't they!

  7. This reminds me of mornings a Penland watching the mist burn off and the mountains appear.
