Floral Platters

Winter has me craving flowers and color so I decided to make a couple of floral platters. You'd never know that this plate was wiped clean and made again. I'm using a combination of stains and underglazes.

Hope everyone is surviving the cold and snow. We got what amounted to nothing. One of these days I hope we get a winter wonderland. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Hello Linda,

Yes, there is definitely something about the winter months that makes one look forward to the flush of flowers in Spring. So, your floral decorations are a happy sight to cheer this otherwise grey day.

  2. Your platters feel like a meadow in a spring breeze!
No spring breezes here, but not as much snow or wind as predicted.
    And no power loss!

  4. What I like about the top one is that the colors are ALL OVER the plate, not confined to the flowers. Great idea.

  6. I hope our next winter wonderland heads south for you. You'll be making many, many more flowers to forget the weather! Lovely, by the way.

    1. Hi Joanne, thanks, it seems most storms just pass us by which is probably a good thing but I always think if it has to be cold why not some insulating snow.

    1. Hi Michele, thanks, well as far south as you are that wouldn't be a good thing, but here in the mountains I wish we'd get one good snow, it usually melts right away but the views would be nice for one day.
