Large Bells

Yesterday I decided to try making some large bells. This yellow leaf bell is about ten inches tall.  The leaves are from a native tree that holds it's leaves throughout the winter and they are just now dropping on the ground.

This bell is about twelves inches tall and the bottom edge is scalloped. We shall see how these all fire up. Yesterday someone mentioned making the clapper out of metal. After these are fired I'll have to see which material gives the best sound. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Hi Sue, thanks, I guess I'm getting a little obsessive compulsive about these bells, lol.

    1. Hi Barbara, thanks, I outlined them as the yellow (well really chartreuse but it fires more of a yellow color) looked a little pale.
