Red Oak Leaf Bowl

Here's a red oak leaf bowl from the last firing. This bowl is medium sized about three inches deep and five inches across.

I put leaves on the underside of the bowl as well. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Nice touch putting the leaves on the inside and out. I do pots with Maple leaves on them and people are always asking why I choose to use that leaf.

  2. Hi Lori, thanks, I use what I find in the yard. Ha. Once more leaves bud out I'll switch to others too.

  4. Hi Barbara, thanks, that's the beauty of using the mason stains on greenware I can get color on both sides.

  7. Love it. Folding a leaf or two over the edge so the same leaf appears on both sides could be effective too.

  9. Hello Linda,

What a fun idea that the decoration appears on both sides of the bowl. It is a most attractive piece and useful for any number of purposes.
