Recently our local grocery store started carrying sushi. I knew we'd be in big trouble financially since we love sushi, so I decided to learn how to make it myself. Just about anything you want to learn can be found on a youtube video. Above is my first attempt at a sushi roll. I used seaweed, sticky rice, cucumber and artificial crab leg. The sushi roll wasn't that bad. I found out real ginger isn't the same as pickled ginger. I must find a source for that. The kiln is firing down on another glaze load. Stay tuned for more new work soon. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Sounds good...I didn't know about pickled ginger either.

  2. Hi Barb, thanks, I used a potato peeler to slice my fresh ginger and it was so strong we couldn't eat it. Ha. but the sushi was good and very easy to make, I did get the sticky rice and added rice vinegar to it and stirred it up till it was really sticky.

  3. Hi Sue, thanks and it's so easy to make, try it.
