Ridiculously Easy Turkey Thighs

When it comes to turkey, many prefer the white meat but I happen to be partial to the dark meat. A few months ago I noticed my grocery sells packaged turkey pieces. I decided to try the thighs. At first I marinated the thighs and cooked them on the BBQ. One day I didn't have time to marinate them so I just baked them sprinkled with herbs. I discovered they don't need to be marinated and they are still juicy.

Put a little olive oil in a glass baking dish. Sprinkled the turkey on both sides with your favorite herbs. Put them in the baking dish and bake at 350 F for one hour. Remove and slice off the bone in thin strips. These are ridiculously easy turkey thighs to prepare for your main course. One thigh is plenty for two servings if sliced up and divided. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. I like the dark meat too. I noticed some turkey parts in the grocery store last week. Next time I will look for thighs. I love to cook a whole turkey but it's just so much for two people!

  2. Hi Michele, thanks, yes too much and a lot of work but it can be frozen and is much less per pound - you'll like the thighs, I've gotten the drumsticks before but the thighs are sooo good.

  3. The thighs as with chicken thighs are more moist and flavoursome, that's for sure. :)

  4. I don't know whether turkey portions are available here. I don't eat meat and himself doesn't like turkey. Dark meat does have more flavour though - I do remember that.
