Big Stroke of Luck

At the recent annual dinner meeting of the farmer's market group I got a big stroke of luck. I learned my booth will be moved to the first building in with most of the farmers. The first building is by far the busiest and I'll have an increased chance of making more pottery sales.

Now I'm regretting hibernating most of the winter. Unfortunately I can't go back only forward. I'm shifting into high gear to replenish my pottery supplies. I'll order a booth banner and photo notecards at my local print shop.  And I'll break down and get a square to take credit cards. I need to get a new phone because mine isn't capable of taking the square. Yikes so much to do and so little time (the time part being my own fault since I wasted too much of it this winter). Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. That's great news!
Jeff and I couldn't afford smart phones when were with Verizon, so we made the switch to Republic Wireless. It's affordable (our bill averages about $12 each), we don't use a lot of data and connect to wifi whenever we can. Switching to square saved us a lot of money on credit card fees too.

    1. Hi Michele, thanks, I have a Straight Talk phone and pay by the month so I don't have to get a contract, Republic Wireless, hum, probably not available here, I rarely use it and keep it for emergencies, maybe I might think of switching, just hate to get into a contract. I hope to increase sales by taking credit cards.

    2. Republic Wireless is based out of NC but is nationwide. No contract. The flexible plan is $25 mo. 1 gig of data, you get a refund for what you don't use. They use the sprint network, I think. https://republicwireless.com
