Here's a fern platter I made several years ago.
Now you know why there's ferns in my fridge. I use real ferns as a resist in making fern platters.
I place the fern on the clay and gently roll to get it to adhere. Then I brush slip or stain and I remove the fern. I bisque fire the platter and then glaze fire with a clear glaze. I love the detail possible using a real leaves. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
