Farmer's Market Bounty

Today we went to the Tuesday farmer's market and so glad we did. We came home with fresh picked blackberries, strawberries, peaches and tomatoes. I might have to make some muffins with the blackberries since there are a ton of them. Do you have any gluten free recipes to share? Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  2. Yum. And repeat. I am enjoying our winter - but do miss the fruit and vegetable summer bounty.

  3. the blackberries look great... there is a fruity dessert called a Flummery.. easily made gluten free.. do you know that one?
It is 1 can of Evaporated Milk (chilled) 2 level dessert spoons gelatine dissolved in 2 tablespoons hot water; 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup of fruit. Dissolve gelatine, add lemon juice and cool. Beat Evaporated Milk, adding sugar gradually until very thick. Add gelatine fruit juice. Beat. Add fruit. Beat. Set in fridge. Its an old recipe but nice and light for summer. You can use any fruit. I think the fruit should be lightly stewed first but its a while since I made it.

    1. Hi Anna, thanks, oh a flummery, sounds wonderful I'll have to go and get some gelatin and evaporated milk, thanks ever so much. I'll see if the internet has the recipe to check about the stewed fruit.

  5. What bounty! Are those your bowls?
I don't have any recipes for gluten free, but a friend swears by King Arthur's Gluten Free Flour. She uses it as a sub for wheat flour with great success!
