Last Night I Dreamt

Last night I dreamt I was in a hospital lying on a gurney covered in a sheet. I was in a long hallway lined with many other people also lying on gurneys waiting for surgery. For some reason there seemed to be at least fifty people waiting for surgery; I'm sure this number came from the events in Orlando. Then a couple of scary people came by and started to cover all our faces with the sheets and said they were going to take us to their home to do surgery. I said, "No I want my surgery here in the hospital". I don't know how but somehow I made it to the operating room on my gurney with a great deal of secretive actions. Just before they put me to sleep for my surgery I said, "Wait, wait, what about all the other people in the hallway; you have to keep them here for their surgery". "Someone is trying to take them away from here". Then I woke up.

In our hopes and in our thoughts and in our dreams, we all pledge our support and solidarity with those in Orlando who have died needlessly, and we pledge our support and love for each of the family members who are now suffering.

  1. I would classify that as a nightmare.
Love your determination (awake or asleep) and your concern for others.

  4. Hi Michele, thanks, yes so sad at the loss of so many and wondering how those who survived can handle the trauma and loss, then so many fears for the future

  8. Hi Joan, thanks, I guess our dreams sometimes know us better than we sometimes know ourselves or what is in our hearts and minds
