Showing Appreciation

Last week I was wondering how I could show my appreciation to the police and sheriff departments in my community. I thought about bringing each office a flower arrangement with a card saying thank you for all they do.

Today I made up a couple of arrangements and I'll delivery them to the two offices. I figured it doesn't hurt to show my appreciation. Something to be honest I never thought of doing in the past. But current events are a reminder to me that I should talk more about how I feel and show my appreciation more often to as many people as I can. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. As an employee of the Union County Sheriff's Office, I would like to say "thank you" for the beautiful arrangement. It is difficult for people outside of the law enforcement family to understand the bond we share. When something as tragic as recent events occur, it seems personal. We are often classified as the "bad guys", but it's so nice to see citizens realize what we endure day by day. Thank you again so much! You beautiful pottery is on display in our lobby. Thank you again!

    1. Hi Ginger, thanks, there are so many people who feel like I do and have been voicing their support of law enforcement across the country; I realized I haven't taken the time to give appreciation for lots of people and especially those in often thankless jobs so I hope my small token gives some comfort to those who so selflessly work for us in this community.

  2. What a lovely gesture. And one that has been appreicated. Which is also lovely.

    1. Hi Joanne, thanks, I am now thinking I can make a habit of showing my appreciation to those who may not get much appreciation shown to them.

    1. Hi Lori, thanks, the senseless killing of police in our country really saddened me and then I thought how could any policeman go to work with such great risk and targets on their back, I hope my small token gives them courage in their days ahead.
