Crimson Red Maple

This maple tree is so beautiful, a crimson red.

Everyone says we'll get really good fall color this year, but we are in a severe drought. Please send us some rain; I hate to think of the trees suffering without a drink.

This maple sits at the entrance to our driveway. I don't remember it being this vibrant last year. We have another native maple whose leaves turn golden yellow. I'll have to pick some leaves from both and see if they are the different. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Drought over here tends to make the autumnal colour less vivid, and shorter.
I so hope you get rain.

  2. Hi Sue, thanks, I think ours will be shorter because yesterday that maple was so much more vibrant and then today when I took the camera down it was less so.

  3. I wish I could send you some rain, crazy here. We've got enough to share.

  4. Hi Meredith, thanks, and the west coast is getting a bunch too, we even watered a few of our native trees so they won't get too dry and brittle and break some branches.

  5. I hope you get rain, but not the wind.
