Hi Sue, thanks, you'd be surprised at the skins of these planes, I was thinking they were awfully thin and kind of scary looking some of them looked like fabric. yikes.
DeleteI don't know half as much about planes as I wish I did. I remember seeing a good exhibit in the Smithsonian once upon ages ago! You did well capturing one plane at a time in your photos!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, the places is amazing even for someone who doesn't like planes all that much but I admire their beauty and capabilities. Gary went back and had a great time, he went in a flight simulator and they said he did well avoiding all the planes trying to shoot him down and he landed on an aircraft carrier without crashing. He said he wanted to go faster, he was going 570 mph and they said it only went 640 mph. ha. The pilot who was standing by couldn't believe that Gary was 70 years old; saying that most folks that old don't have the reflexes to fly planes that well.
