Vases for Summer Flowers

This week I made a few vases.
A bit wonky but life isn't perfect after all.
It's been so humid and rainy, pottery is drying very slowly.
Summer flowers of bee balm, buddleia and crocosmia.
Bee balm leaves are edible, I'll have to try a tea.
I'll be at the farmers market today from 7 am to 1 pm
(stay tuned for additions to our boat
a grab rail for safety and a bimini top
we installed them ourselves).
Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Good luck at the markets. Love your flowers, and will be interested to see the vases after their firing.

  2. Hi Sue, thanks, it's going to be a hot one today and close to the 4th of July so hopefully we'll have lots of customers.

  3. These are going to look great with their flowers in them. To me a vase is not a vase until it has flowers in it.
Toes crossed that the market went well. Do you find that people stay home in the heat or do they want to buy all the produce that summer brings/

  4. Hi Suzi, thanks, the market was great since it's a holiday in the middle of the week more visitors. Folks come early but also late because our market is covered with high roofs and is comparatively cool, We are so lucky to have this market three miles from our home. the market is very well followed. In my estimation this market could have more farmer's rather than crafters, but what can I say; this year I can't complain about sales. Need to ramp it up in the making category this week.
