Ha.

Hi Gayle, thanks, oh so true if it works it's the way to go for sure.

Hi Joanne, thanks, yes the noodle gets a work out.

Hi Ms. Sparrow, thanks, now that's a good idea for exercise. I need to strap them on my ankles as my arms already get a work out. Ha.

Hi Gigi, thanks, now you see why I have so much 'stuff' I've acummulated.

Hi Elephant's Child, thanks, I wasn't sure how tall I could go and get it to stand up since I couldn't think of something soft enough to hold it up. Not sure what the splaying would have done, that will be another piece. Ha.

Hi Michele, thanks, I seem to always attach at soft stage, must try the leather hard way one of these days. I did get a hair dryer recently to dry the slip will have to make it more handy to use when I get in these predicaments.

Hi Lori, thanks, I seem to be in the middle of making something when I discover I have backed myself into a corner and then I have to improvise, I need more and more props it seems.Linda Starrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04364078667554676592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7184126423669640998.post-67884157983180904002012-11-12T10:45:18.837-05:002012-11-12T10:45:18.837-05:00That's a great idea! I normally recommend making clay supports but that's not always practical when your hands are so busy trying to hold the piece in shape.Lori Buffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00233955188892423314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7184126423669640998.post-31296561810044300852012-11-12T09:22:01.486-05:002012-11-12T09:22:01.486-05:00great use of canned goods!
Have you ever tried to...great use of canned goods!
Have you ever tried to force dry with a torch or hair dryer?
For tall handles I lay them on my work bench in the shape I need, and let them stiffen up some before applying to the pot. Sometimes lightly covering with plastic and leaving them overnight.Michèle Hastingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11346907762804197879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7184126423669640998.post-61299476887199060462012-11-11T22:40:43.104-05:002012-11-11T22:40:43.104-05:00How clever, and ingenious. I think that you might be right about the handle - but it is beautiful just the same.
If you hadn't used the cans, how far do you think the splaying would have continue? To destruction point - or to a more abstract piece?Elephant's Childhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06650565833097914052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7184126423669640998.post-49195924825031565772012-11-11T19:25:54.940-05:002012-11-11T19:25:54.940-05:00nice to see your ingenuity here.nice to see your ingenuity here.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7184126423669640998.post-30733229026648083682012-11-11T18:56:10.746-05:002012-11-11T18:56:10.746-05:00When I had physical therapy for my shoulder severa...When I had physical therapy for my shoulder several years ago, I was told to use one pound cans as weights to exercise with.Ms Sparrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03417670251423549014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7184126423669640998.post-89564434693372342832012-11-11T11:31:30.476-05:002012-11-11T11:31:30.476-05:00Using your noodle, too.Using your noodle, too.Joanne Noragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09834682329952369721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7184126423669640998.post-66344900133468204062012-11-11T09:56:21.038-05:002012-11-11T09:56:21.038-05:00Very clever!
