Citrus Infused Grouper
Here in Florida one of the more prized fish to eat is grouper. It's a mild, yet firm fleshed fish. The Citrus Infused Grouper isn't my recipe; it came from the net. But I've put together these photos to show you how quick and easy it is to prepare.
Before I started to prepare the fish I put some brown rice on to cook. I started with one pound of grouper fillet and cut that into serving sized pieces. If you can't find grouper, any mild firm fleshed fish fillet will work just fine.
Butter the bottom and sides of a 9x12 glass baking dish and place the fillet portions in the dish.
Sprinkle with garlic powder, lemon pepper, fresh ground pepper and salt.
Slather the fillets with some butter. Add 1/4 cup of orange juice and 1/4 cup of lime juice. Place orange and lime slices on top of the fish. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
The fish was so delicious; we poured a little of the citrus juices over our rice too. We also ate the cooked oranges and lime. Here I've placed the left over fish; we'll have this fish for several days by warming it slightly. Gee I wonder if it's good cold, might be. Hope you're having a great weekend. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
Good food on beauty plate :)

ReplyDeleteHi Sapphire, thanks, they make me hungry too.
Hi Marguerite, thanks, be sure to use a small baking dish so the juices permeate the fish; I could have used a smaller one.
