the salad plates are going to be great! beautiful fresh peppers.
The third set is my favorite. Also it reminds me I need cukes & salad. ~Mary
Like the shape and impressions on the salad plates. How big are they and what leaves (?) are you using for impressions? The peppers pop off the page...look good enough to eat! ;-D
The thing I miss most about Florida is year round gardening with just a little effort. Lovely peppers.
Hi Michele, thanks, I am trying to think of what glaze I can use so the texture still shows up I need some more transparent type of glazes or perhaps some oxides and a clear over the top, but I didn't necessarily want to use iron oxide as it sometimes comes out muddy, but not sure about copper either for food.Hi Mary, thanks, nice to get a reminder, Ha.Hi Smartcat, thanks, the plates are about six inches across and the leaves for those are cabbage. I think next time I'll leave small border around the edge that is plain to make them a little larger and with the bowls I'll make the border a little smaller and more even. I learn something as I look at them in the photo. The other leaves are out of the forest behind our house.Hi Patti, thanks, we really need to be more stuff planted, we are rearranging our block bins and hope to plant some winter stuff too. We need to rig up a half hoop house to easily set on top of the block with some pvc going in the open blocks so when frost is due we can just put it easily over the top. Home grown tastes so much better.
I love the exquisite detail on the salad bowls. Very lovely and beautiful work.
Hi Shelley, thanks but mother nature is to blame for these details only I to using them to my advantage, thanks so much for stopping by my blog, your art is powerful.
