Customer Appreciation

Here's an Anolis sagrei, or brown anole, I spyed outside my kitchen window. Photo is taken through the window and the screen. I was intrigued with this lizard for quite a while. He was looking and looking in the window; and Gary said he probably thought he saw a rival lizard. We have UV film on our windows which acts like a mirror when looking in from the outside.

I recently received a very kind note from a customer on Etsy who ordered two sets of my textures plates. It's so nice to get feedback from those who are using my pottery. Thanks to all of you who purchase my pottery.
  • Hi Linda -

The plates arrived all safe and sound yesterday and I love them. thank you again for doing this special order for me. I had been looking for new plates for over a year.

I also love the special gift you tucked into the package.

take care - and thanks again - the plates are just gorgeous.
Today I'm typing up a synopsis of the panel presentation from our pottery guild meeting last night. Four gallery owners talked to us about how to approach galleries and what to expect from them and what they are looking for from artists they represent. More about that later. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. we have tons of lizards here now. I think they are taking over. Sweet note.

  2. Hi Meredith, thanks, we have the green ones and brown ones, must be eating all the baby toads, poor things. Yeah I was glad to get such a nice note, always nice to know my hard work is appreciated.

  3. Hello Linda:
Your lizard is rather wonderful. We wonder also what thoughts, most likely none, were going through his head as he waited and watched.

How very nice to have had such positive and encouraging feedback about your work from a customer who is clearly delighted with her purchases. It must make it all seem worthwhile.

  4. great feedback on some great plates. WE get lizards roaming thru our lounge room in the summer - not something I appreciate as they run across under your feet when you are relaxing under the ceiling fan:<(

  5. You must have been elated when you got that letter. Your customer was very sweet and thoughtful. That's really wonderful.

  6. I'm beginning to think we're living parallel lives, Linda! First the mushrooms, & then this... I took a similar pic of a skink on our screen a few days ago. Beautiful plates there!

  7. My kids had some green anoles as pets when they were young. The cats loved to sit in front of the aquarium they were in and watch them.

  8. Positive feed back has to be so rewarding. How nice of that lady but then it was nice of you to include a gift. Nice touch.

  9. your example is telling. compassion and generosity always win! how do you know the kinds of lizards there? lizards here; don't think they have stripes. not even sure what kind. one hangs around so much I may give him/her a name!

  10. Hi Jane and Lance, thanks, perhaps the lizard is reflecting on his last insect meal. Ha. Yes a simple thank you goes a long way.

Hi Anna, thanks, oh I am not sure I'd like them running over my feet, I'd scream for sure thinking they were a snake.

Hi Lori, thanks, yes it was really nice to hear back about the plates.

Hi Laurie, thanks, I was so surprised when I saw your post about the mushrooms because our titles were almost exactly alike, Ha. we must be in parallel somehow.

Hi Ms. Sparrow, thanks, my cats watch these out the window quite frequently, the cats can see the lizards, but the lizards can't see the cats because of the window film.

Hi Patti, thanks, yes it was good to get the note, and I always try to include a small gift for those purchasing as a thank you.

Hi Amy, thanks, I looked this one up to see what type it was because there is a brown one that is from Cuba that is invasive here and threatens the native Florida anole so I was curious what this one was.

I love suggestions, questions, critiques, thanks for your comment
