Green anole on the ground. The longest tail I've seen on one.
New bird in the tree and pecking on the window. He has a long beak, a pale yellow breast, and a melodious call of two notes. I think it's a Western Kingbird, his breast seems too pale to be a Tropical Kingbird.
Crow's nest in the treetop. A pair has been taking turns bringing food for a couple of weeks.
A beautiful lizard! Lovely lime green! hope you feel better. : )
ReplyDeleteGreen lizard, yellow bird. Spring is sprung!
ReplyDeleteLovely fish recipe previously. Hope you feel better now.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love those little Anoles? We usually have a few that hang out by the front door and on my hanging baskets. Of course if they get inside the house, they are in big trouble with the 6 cats (I do try to rescue them from the inside cats - but they have to fend for themselves with the outside ones).
ReplyDeleteAnoles are adorable. The other day one jumped off the studio roof and landed on a table full of bisqued pots that we had just unloaded. I had never seen one jump that distance before!
ReplyDeleteLove the lizard...such a pretty green. I have never seen a crows nest. they are pretty big. Nature makes me happy :)
ReplyDeleteMy kids had an aquarium with little green anoles years ago. The cats would sit on a footstool and watch like it was a TV set. I bet a lot of wild anoles fall prey to kittys.
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice lizard and the cool green color. You may have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Loved this post - the stunning lizard and both birds. Thank you - I hope you are feeling better, and have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Midori, thanks, a little better today, isn't that the most serene color.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzi, thanks, I think we've launched almost into summer, we are expecting some 90 days this week.
Hi Rian, thanks, I didn't realize you had six cats, those poor lizards. My cat brought one in from the pool deck and the tail was wiggling out her mouth. I screamed at her and she dropped him and I was able to rescue him.
Hi Michele, thanks, wow that is some amazing feat jumping that far.
Hi Ms. Sparrow, thanks, I think you are right about the cats, we had a stray here not too long ago and all the lizards were missing their tails.
Hi Elna, thanks, yes the green color is so beautiful to see especially against the white sidewalk.
Hi Elephant's Child, thanks, I wish I had gotten a better photo of the birds to show, maybe next time.
I always loved green anoles when we lived in Floria I could watch them for hours! Lovely nature post thank for sharing!
