This one is made with little loafers clay, has twisted circles, and is about twelve inches tall. It's a real balancing feat for the twists on top.
And there's a few fern plates drying in the cabinet.
I must remember to comb my hair and spruce up before Gary takes my photo next time. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
Don't spruce up. Why try to look like Martha Steward when you look fine like an intensely absorbed artist at work.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you're feeling really good about getting your hands into the clay again. Nice work, you seem to have remembered everything.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Gary caught you at work...you look just fine. And it shows the size of the tower in comparison to your hands.
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, thanks, that's definitely me totally absorbed when I am working. Ha.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, thanks, it's fun to get back just have to get my kiln soon.
Hi Barbara, thanks, that's the one thing about photos that I dislike is not knowing the size of pieces I see so I try to put in the height so readers have an idea of size.
I think it's great photo of you working. Isn't that a new hair color for you? I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteI would much rather see the artist at work, than the artist after being worked on... Glad to see you are getting your hands dirty again - it must feel wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYou look very content and into your work, Linda. Very presentable ;) Good to see you working in clay!
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, thanks, that's some blond streaks I had the hairdresser add to give me a little pizzazz, believe it or not I was all blond when I was a kid and every year my hair has gotten darker, only a few strands of gray so far, from the genes of my mom and dad I guess, they hardly have any in the late eighties.
ReplyDeleteHi Elephant's Child, thanks, ok you convinced me, I don't get worked on much,. Ha.
Hi Charlene, thanks, I do have a serious look to my face most of the time, it's the native american in me I guess.
Love seeing an artist at work :)
ReplyDeleteI like this picture too. And I love your hair! And looking at your pottery pics, I like the fern plates. Tried some of these myself and people seem to like leaf forms.
