Out of My Depth

Hardly a thing has been done in the studio lately but I did manage to make a couple of bowls. This one is boat shaped made in layers.

For the drape bowl I flipped it over too soon and had to put it back. It has slip decoration on the inside and I was curious to see what it looked like.

Reminding myself to go out of my depth and do something exciting. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  4. It's so hard not to let your curiosity, or impatience, get the best of you! For me it's usually the impatience thing.

  5. It is so hard to balance excitement with impatience when the clay isn't firming fast enough :)

  6. As I said in response to your "Let's Dance" post...I'm saddened by Bowie's passing. I think I always will be. He was an intelligent man. A brilliant, creative artist in so many areas.

It's good to be different; to try different things, methods...if it doesn't work out...what the hell...at least you tried...and then you push yourself further in another direction...and that just could bring a most positive result.
