I Wish I Was A Cat
If I was a cat
I'd curl up in a sink
and that's where I'd think.
If I was a cat
I'd lounge about all day
and go out in the evening to play.
If I was a cat
I'd try to catch a mouse
inside and outside the house.
If I was a cat
and I had a spat
I'd fix it just like that.
If I was a cat
I'd stretch out real tall
and never hurt my back at all.
I wish I was a cat,
because I did hurt my back
and that's that for me for a while.
If I don't answer your comments right away, it's because I am laid up with my back again, but I will get to them. I do have the other recipe I mentioned already typed up and I'll post that in a day or two. Happy Independence Day to you all.

Soooo sorry to hear your back is sore again Linda :o((
ReplyDeleteBut I love the picture of the cat in the sink!!
Oh dear! Poor you get better soon, the cats will get you right soon as they can I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, I am actually doing better I just can't bend over now. Butter loves sitting in the sink I think because it is cool in there; he is a huge cat.
ReplyDeleteHi Kitty, thanks, the cats do give extra attention to me if my back is bad, some how cats are very intuitive.
I wish I was your cat.....
ReplyDeletewhat a life!
Best- meredith
Hi Meredith, yeah, to have a cat's life, wouldn't that be grand, especially if you have a good human to take care of you. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThe sink is overflowing with Butter - very sweet. Hope you are back to bending soon. Take good care!
ReplyDeleteHi Jewels, yes when folks see Butter for the first time, they call him a small mountain lion. My back is slowing doing better, thanks goodness I have lots of pots to fire.
ReplyDeleteHappy Independence Day to you Linda.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the back playing up again. Not nice at all! Lovely cats and cat thoughts. Butter in the sink reminds me of a cat I once had that used to occupy the empty enamel bath on hot days when she was pregnant. Cats have all sorts of evolutionary advantages over us humans, one is their long springy coat which forms a comfortable bed allowing them to sleep just about any where and any way up!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July,
Peter, Laura, and Ginger
Hi Filippo, thanks, have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Peter, Laura and Ginger, thanks, cats do amazing things. I didn't realize about their springy coat making it more comfortable for them, but I do notice they seem to get comfortable everywhere as you say.
Linda,
ReplyDeletehi from cochabamba, Bolivia where I´m stuck due to a delayed flight... so I have only three more hours to wait. :( At least I can use some bolivianos and read pottery blogs.
Hope your back heals soon. Tonight, I wish that I was a bird that could carry a 50 lb. suitcase that would allow me to travel to Charlotte, NC much faster and get HOME! peace...
Hi Amy, your vacation has gone by so quickly. Hope you have some great tales to tell. Thanks.
