There are lots of places to find relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Just got to get there when I can.
When I can't, I look and dream. These are of Marion Lake in South Carolina.
We stopped there on our way to North Carolina in September; it seems so long ago. I've got to get psyched up for all the bisque and glaze firing I'll be doing this week.
That really looks like a great place to unwind. Glad you take the time. Time is one of the things you just can't buy.
ReplyDeleteIs that Lake Marion -- right outside Sumter (SC)? I used to spend time there as a girl. My dad was from Columbia and also stationed at Shaw AFB for a while. That lake is huge -- and has the best bass fishing!
ReplyDeleteHi Patti, thanks, yes you are right you can't buy time; guess I'm a traveling girl at heart.
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, thanks, yes that's the lake I couldn't believe how big it was, it looked like an ocean, amazing, we didn't do any fishing just stayed for the night, but we now know where it is and can go back.
this is firing season! the gas company hooked up the burners for our new kiln and we will be doing our first firing in it this week. the bisque kiln is firing today.
ReplyDeletethe lake looks so beautiful and peaceful :-)
Hi Michele, yeah for you, do you have natural gas there? if so you are lucky.
ReplyDeleteVery nice images. Being near water is always so restorative.
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to believe October has come and gone!
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa, thanks, yes it is, I love the beach too.
ReplyDeleteHi Meredith, thanks, it's almost the middle of November, yikes.
What a beautiful place to relax and get inspiration. The photos are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLooks so beautiful and serene! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, thanks, yes it was wonderful and no boats on the water either, looked so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteHi Marguerite, thanks, I love taking photos of places I go, then I can remember the places much better.
