Happy Sunday to you. Now that the weather is cooler we decided to build an outdoor fire pit. But then I thought an outdoor fireplace would be nicer looking. We're using some block we got for free. More about this project later. Thanks for all your comments and emails. I'll get back to you shortly.
lovely new work. The greek Fest sounds fun,I don't think i have had a greek beer, but lots of wines and brandies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following!!
ReplyDeleteWow...looks like a good day's work there. I always thought I wanted a kiln but could never justify the expense when I was a youngun. I do love pottery though. And hand built is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteAnd...in reply to your visit to my blog...
:) Thank you Linda! I know...it was so funny when she kept say..."annie! grandma...it needs a ZIPper." It now happily has a zipper and is hanging proudly where I can see it every time I walk into my bedroom. :)
i think the rooster is still my fave... his colors are so brilliant.
ReplyDeleteLove ur work...looks great!
ReplyDeleteHi Out on the prairie, thanks, well I've had my share of wines, never beer, and rarely brandy.
ReplyDeleteHi Georgie, thanks for stopping by.
Hi Bohemiannie, thanks, yes I can just hear her telling you about the zipper; the kiln is expensive but you can find them on craigslist inexpensively if you keep looking, but clay is definitely one of the more expensive arts to make and the price that pottery commands isn't really enough for all the work that is put into it, but I do love it and have to sacrifice in other areas to do it.
Hi Michele, thanks, the rooster came out wonderfully, I think it is the black that makes those colors really pop. I'll have to do more colorful one like that. Gary keeps telling me to do colorful ones I should listen to him, perhaps it's fear of color - Ha.
Hi Hellopatz, thanks so much, I appreciate your compliment.
