Tuesday's child is full of grace and looking for a friend, Tracey. Gary found this little guy at the flea market a while ago.
Just finished loading the kiln with pedestal bowls, shrines, a couple of sculptures, soap dishes, and lots of pendants for fillers. We might have lightening today so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to fire. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
What are you going to do with Tuesday's child?
ReplyDeleteBased on the position of the hands, I wonder if the little boy figurine wasn't part of something else. That would make more sense than as a free-standing figure.
ReplyDeletehe is a cutie!
ReplyDeletehope the weather is in your favor tomorrow.
Hi Lori, thanks, I might have to send him to Tracey to use. see her Monday post.
ReplyDeleteHi Ms. Sparrow, thanks, yeah I am trying to figure out what he was part of, his head has an indentation in a circle and there is a hole in his head. And yeah his hands are almost as if he was pushing himself up from something.
Hi Michele, thanks, he is quite cute, little baby dolls do make me smile. Gary said we'll have two days of good weather and then another onslaught, so tomorrow is the day to fire.
Thanks for the offer He'e cute, but I probably wouldn't use him, I'm looking for mostly white objects, make Gary a shrine for his bathroom:)
ReplyDeleteYeah he's more kitsch but I couldn't resist this post when I saw your post this morning about Monday's child. Gary has always said he never wants to move somewhere where he can't piss outside, so this little guy is perfect for him, Ha.
ReplyDeleteHe's too cute and maybe worth some money! A shrine for Gary's bathroom? I have some catching up to do! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Marguerite, thanks, if you look close you can see his plastic is a bit dented, but he does have a sweet look on his face. Are plastic things worth anything? Of course this is an older plastic, not like the stuff made nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what tales he would have to tell you!
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine, thanks, he's saying he's potty trained now. Ha. or maybe he's saying he didn't do it, whatever it was.
ReplyDeletehe looks like he is up to something! Winder if he use to have a hat!?
ReplyDeleteHi Meredith, thanks, you know that would explain the ridge or indentation on his head, you are so smart. He does look like he is up to something doesn't he. Ha. So much expression in such a small area like the eyes and his body stance makes him so endearing.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! That little fellow looks almost like a kewpie doll.
ReplyDeleteI love lightning! Do you watch the storm indoors or outdoors?
I was wondering about the dent in his head also. He looks a functional pee'er. Is there a place to add water.
ReplyDeleteNice to see another pinch and slabber :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll post a photo after the firing too.
Hi Julia, thanks, I like lightening, but not the kind we have here in Florida, it is deadly and lots of folks are killed by it, and the thunder is sometimes so crashing that it shakes the house it seems. I remember the name kewpie doll, hum I look that up and see if he might be one.
ReplyDeleteHi Patti, thanks, yes he can pee because I tried it; he has a hole in the top of his head and is hollow, but the pee dribbles out but isn't he too young for saw palmetto? Ha.
Hi Angie, thanks, yeah I can't throw worth a darn but I do love the pinching and slabbing. I hope my pedestal bowls turn out. It'll be a couple of days before I post results.
