Rustic Boat Shaped Serving Dish

There are lots of boats around here for inspiration. Today the idea popped in my head to make a rustic boat shaped serving dish. In my mind I envisioned the dish constructed with more of the strips of clay I've been using. We'll see how successful I am in translating this idea to the clay. I made a few drawings and I have a few pieces drying in the cabinet.

    It will be most interesting to see how these 'boat' dishes translate from the drawing board to the finished product. We do hope that we shall see in a future post.

    It is the second here - and more than half way though the day as well. Just the same I forgot to say white rabbit yesterday as well.
    The boat shape should fit the layered strips really well. I am looking forward to further posts about it.
