Every day he comes to the window and pecks away. We have window film and he thinks he sees his rival. Today I got some photos. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
That a neat series of photos. He looks like a cheeky, pretty boy!
We had a pair of cardinals that attacked one particular window with great persistence and taught their babies.....yes we did have five cardinals attacking a window at sunrise.
Hi Suzi, thanks, well his mate is pecking at the window too, I hope they don't teach their offspring to peck the windows. Yesterday I noticed another variety of bird, I'll have to see if I can get it's photo too.
Hi Turquoisemoon, thanks, he really is sweet in the photos, I try to shoo him away to no avail, I keep thinking his beak must hurt.
We had one that seemed to be fighting with his reflection in the window, so much so that we feared he's injure himself. So we printed out a picture of Justice Antonin Scalia and put it in the window. The cardinal flew away.
I am ROFL (rolling on floor laughing, I learned from a granddaughter) at Lori's solution! He's really a lovely bird. You must not have screens on that window.
what a lovely bright visitor

Hi Meredith, thanks, the red of cardinals still amazes me.
Hi Joanne, thanks, I hope he doesn't have a headache from all that pecking.

Hi Elephant's Child, thanks, he is really strutting his stuff for sure.
Hi Vicki, thanks, his red is almost too red, amazing they survive in the wild not having much to camouflage themselves.
