Citrus County Veterans Coalition
Since we're moving we find we have an over abundance of canned and dry goods in our pantry. We'll be donating our excesses to the Citrus County Veterans Coalition. Please check the internet in your area for food banks or veteran's organizations they can always use donations. If you're local the last yard sale of the season is this coming Saturday, May 11, at Our Lady of Fatima church grounds in Inverness. This is one of the many events put on by our local veterans coalition, whose motto is "Veterans Helping Veterans". Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

What a brilliant idea. Even without a move in store we should probably do that.
ReplyDeleteLinda that's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. Of course if the can is near it's expiration date just pitch it so the people at the food bank won't have to.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is the annual Post Office food collection day. A local grocery store gives out special blue bags for us to put stuff out by the mail box for the mail carrier to pick up.
ReplyDeleteHi Elephant's child, thanks every year Gary and I donate our excess we keep our pantry stocked in case of a hurricane and since we're moving we can't fit it all now.
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, thanks, I have heard on the news that food banks every where have shortages.
Hi Lori, thanks, of course.
Hi Ms. Sparrow, thanks, I didn't even know about the post office collection day, good to know.
