Years ago I took several semesters of floral arranging and every since then I've been drawn to arranging especially with uisng unique containers and materials, like the pitcher and pine branches used here.
This arrangement was in the bathroom. What a unique base to the container.
This is the cutting garden.
Above is the grain amaranth; it's quite ornamental isn't it? I never got around to putting in my cutting garden this year but I have the space cleared and will plant next Spring. Up next a tour of Hemmings Motor News museum in Vermont. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
Those are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOne of my jobs for the Penland School of Crafts benefit auction is to help create flower arrangements. We put a lot of thought into making the flowers and the vessel complement each other. I wish I were better at it.
What lovely arrangements! As Lori said, bringing together the flowers that complement the vase, and vice versa, is an art.
ReplyDeletePretty floral arrangements. They inspire me.
ReplyDeleteI like that pine arrangement too. Unique and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. I belong to the bunch and drop category of flower arrangers - but appreciate (so much) other people's artistry.
