Live Again
Introspection and still the
music's coming
I could love the sound of
silence - all around.
Get my head together
with all the ominous
thoughts and still the
music's coming.
Foreboding, forewarning,
think of me, not of thee.
The song says "Caught
in the middle again;
I don't know what to do".
Stoke the fire, re-light
if necessary, but live again.
Look, doesn't it burn
brightly with such little effort.
Linda Starr, 1971
Oh my, you're also a poet, with some talent too! This is good. And still true.
ReplyDeleteWow Linda what an amazing poet. Your talents are limitless :)
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteWhat an enchanting poem.
The flame of life is a curious thing. Sometimes burning out of control, at others giving a comforting warmth and, yet others when it is almost out but can be reignited with new ideas. Perhaps that is where you were then and are now?
Perfect sentiment, I didn't know you were also a poet. So many talents.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. And still true.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, thanks, always true.
ReplyDeleteHi Keith, thanks, not limitless though.
Hi Jane and Lance, thanks, life is indeed curious.
Hi Lori, thanks, all we can do is try again.
Hi Elephant's child, thanks, yes always true.
More Please :) .... Your poem would be great put to music...or perhaps put a few lines of your poetry on some of your pottery.
