Oh, did you think it was another kind of bottoms up since it's New Year's Eve? This is the bottom side of the bowl I worked on yesterday. After I cut out and draped this bowl I had three small pieces of clay left. So I rolled each one up and used them as feet. Not sure these feet are large enough for the size of this bowl but we shall see.
Apparently there are a couple of songs called Bottoms Up, one by Trey Songz Nicki Minaj (rap) and one by Brantley Gilbert (country). You can find both on youtube.
Not everything I make turns out edible. On Christmas I had the brilliant idea to make poblano cranberry sauce after reading about Marguerite's Jalapeno Cranberry Sauce. I decided to use pobalano peppers because I like their flavor and they aren't as hot as jalapeno peppers.
I blistered the skin of two poblano peppers, chopped them up and added them to a package of fresh cranberries, two cups of fresh pineapple, two tablespoons of sugar, and one half cup of water. I cooked the mixture on medium heat till the cranberries popped open. Gary and I both like hot food but these cranberries were so hot we could only eat a few bites. Not all peppers are the same, these were very hot. Next time I'll only add one pepper and perhaps leave out the seeds. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
I've seen a few bottoms of my wine glass so far tonight...but I've topped it up! Happy New Year, Linda! :)

Happy New Year. I like the feet to that bowl - let us know how they work out. Our New Year came in without me - but seems to have arrived without any direction from me.
ReplyDeleteI flipped it over and took some photos, folks think it might slump,we shall see, happy new year to you.
