Little pretties waiting to be glazed. Some are flower pots, hanging vases (those with handles), window sill vases, and business card holders. I worked all afternoon yesterday and now all the small pots are glazed and the large bowl.
The large platters get a clear so those will go quickly. I still have the horse to glaze and can't think of how to glaze him. Maybe I'll hold him out and see how the small pots turn out in this load and then glaze him. I have some gold luster and have never tried it, maybe he deserves some of that. But firing a whole kiln for one horse with gold. Hum. Maybe I better stock pile some sculptures to add gold to. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
Nice body of work!
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, thanks, I am trying to get some consistency, perhaps that will be my new year's resolution.
DeleteI've never tried gold luster, but the results are usually very nice...I prefer the ones that just have a bit of gold as accents. Do make more sculptures! Love your work, Linda!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, yes some accents was what I was thinking, we shall see, I do want to make more animals with the patched look to them, I rather like the look, the horse is nice and sturdy too, amazingly. ha.
DeleteIt's excellent to be busy. Not just good, but very good.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne, thanks, yes excellent, I do get bored too easy though and have to motivate myself to do more, if only I was a bit younger I'd have the whole house filled up with work. ha
DeleteLots and lots and lots of little pretties. I do admire your industry. And Joanne's. And your generosity in sharing the beauty.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, they all looked so nice grouped together like that, I couldn't resist taking their photo. Somehow I like documenting all that I do with my work, it keeps me on track and I refer to what I've done in the past so my blog is like a journal.
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy!
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, thanks, too bad we're having storms I have to postpone firing for two days, ugh.
DeleteGreat batch of work! Your energy never ceases to amaze me! :) Happy Holidays to you and Gary!
ReplyDeleteHi Marguerite, thanks, I always feel I am not doing enough, such is life on how we are perceived and how we perceive ourselves I guess. Happy holidays to you too
