Today I'm getting ready for the Kris Kringle Market on Friday and Saturday, packing and pricing my work. Wouldn't you know rain is predicted on Saturday. Something I didn't notice when I unloaded the kiln a couple of weeks ago is one hole on either side of this tower filled with glaze. Today I'll attempt to drill out the hole with a diamond bit so I can attach the driftwood handle. Wish me luck. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

Misty Mountain Morning
Many mornings the valley below our home is filled with mist. Later when the sun comes up the mist drifts away.

I'm enjoying these foggy mornings. But don't think I would if I had to drive through it. Sorry about the rain. Know you'll get that glaze out! Good luck at the market!!! (Bet you sell out!)
ReplyDeleteHi Kitty, thanks, it's pretty to look at but definitely not fun to drive in. Once when I was a teenager in ventura, ca I couldn't even see the line on the freeway, I had to open my car door to look down at the ground, that was definitely foggy.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your sales...and the weather! Our mountains sure do live in the clouds sometimes, don't they!
ReplyDeleteSlow and steady does the job.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, thanks, I love looking down on the clouds, ha, good luck on your sale too, hope the rain holds off till late in the day.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne, thanks, yes slow and perhaps add a bit of water to cool the bit.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of mornings a Penland watching the mist burn off and the mountains appear.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, thanks, I can imagine it's very similar terrain to here.
ReplyDeleteI do love the gentle mystery of mist - and the gentle reveal as it burns away.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the market. Very good luck.

What a beautiful view you have. Good luck with sale and the drilling out of the glaze!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, hope I have good luck.
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, thanks, yes we are really lucky with our view. The drilling went perfect, thank goodness.
