The other day I picked up some lettering blocks. Look what I made today - a sign for my pottery. I plan to use a clear glaze over the top of this speckled clay, can't wait to see how it turns out. I want to use this at a local store which will carry my pottery. More about that later.
Meanwhile I've been trying out my new push plate forms which Gary made for me. This size would be perfect for a luncheon plate or could also be used for a serving plate.
Here's the form I used today. These are working out really well. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
Even the term push plate is inviting. Love your sign too...
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, I am not sure what to call this method, never saw a name for it, so I made it up. ha.
ReplyDeleteNice sign, it should look great with the clear over top.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, thanks, got the stamps at wally world in the craft section. Glad I found them.
DeleteThat sign looks very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi Gigi, thanks, I am amazed at how well it turned out. I may make some others with different sayings.
DeleteLove the sign...that's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteHi Turquoisemoon, thanks, so glad I found these letters, I feel some more ideas coming up too. Ha.
Deletegreat sign, great plates and the form is so well designed too!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, clay is amazing with what can be done with it, never a dull moment.
DeleteLove the sign! And I like the lettering. We don't have a Wally World, but perhaps Michaels or Hobby Lobby might have them...(may have to look). Tried alphabet pasta once, but way too small and cumbersome.
ReplyDeleteHi Rian, thanks, I bet they have them at either place in the rubber stamp section, these were mounted on blocks of wood and so easy to use. I tried alphabet pasta in the past but I was only using it for texture. must try it again some time.
ReplyDeleteGreat, Linda.. great sign and plates.. also, thanks for sharing the squash recipe yesterday..yum!.. :). T.
ReplyDeleteHi Trish, thanks, always wanted to try some of these letters and finally got around to doing it.
